Janhvi Kapoor recently spoke on social media about playing a relatable middle-class character in her films, while maintaining a glamorous image.
In an interview with a news portal, Janhvi tells her that people often tell her that the kind of film she’s doing is a bit specific and her social media presence is quite contradictory. According to them, if her people keep seeing her in her that character, her people will be less likely to buy her that character. She said that the actress is trying to protect herself from what she is calculating. She also added that her people could throw her to see her in her Manish Malhotra sari and her kurta in her movies. But that’s her job, her art.
Janhvi feels very deeply about it and wants it to be as realistic and truthful as possible. But she’s not that kind of person in her real life, and that’s the point of being an actress, Janhvi told Galatta Plus.
Going further, the actress added that she didn’t want to take social media so seriously. Her account is for her to enjoy. According to her, if she looks cute and 5 additional people like her pictures, she’ll get another brand and she’ll be able to pay for EMI more easily than ever before.
Janhvi was last seen in the recently released film ‘Mili’, which also starred Manoj Pahwa and Sunny Kaushal.
